Wesley Music Scholars

Wesley Music Scholars is an exceptional program designed for outstanding tertiary music students who want to turn their passion into a career. Our foundation provides talented musicians with performance opportunities and professional development to take their skills to the next level.

APPLICATIONS FOR 2024 SCHOLARS CLOSE FRIDAY 15 MARCH

Wesley Music Scholars program is designed to provide talented musicians with the opportunity to pursue their passion for music and receive financial assistance towards their education and expenses. Our scholars also get access to our prestigious Music Centre for their own performances, and a highly supportive and positive environment. As a part of the program, our scholars become a group of peer musicians who support and work with each other, fostering a collaborative and inspiring music community.

The scholars play an essential role in the active musical life of the Music Ministry of Wesley Uniting Church, particularly in Sunday services, and perform in Wednesday Lunchtime Concerts, and two annual recitals.

Eligibility

The Wesley Music Scholars program is open to full-time tertiary students (music and non-music majors) who can demonstrate great potential as a vocalist or instrumentalist and can benefit from opportunities to practice, perform, make recordings as a soloist or in ensemble in the unique spaces and facilities of the Wesley Music Centre and Wesley Uniting Church.

Suitable applicants will be invited to audition and interview before a small panel at the Wesley Music Centre.

Scholarships are also available for students interested in the ACT Organ School
