SHREYAS SUNKARANENI
On Wednesday 24th September from 12.40 to 1.20pm, the Wesley Music Centre Lunchtime Concert series welcomes the talented young pianist Shreyas Sunkaraneni performing five works that depict the progression of music through time. The audience will be taken on a journey from French Baroque music (Rameau) to French Impressionist music (Debussy) with some detours to other countries along the way (Haydn, Schubert & Chopin).
Shreyas Sunkaraneni began studying piano with Lyn Kowalik at the age of 11. He quickly developed a passion for the piano and a strong interest in Classical music. Recognizing his talent, Lyn phoned Marie Cull to ask her if she could take Shreyas on as a student in order to help him develop his full potential. Marie was delighted to start teaching Shreyas, and for the past 4 years they have enjoyed working together.
