About the event

On Wednesday 25th February 2026 the Wesley Lunchtime Concert series is honoured to welcome notable Australian soloists Sally Walker (baroque flute) and George Wills (theorbo & baroque guitar), who will perform exquisite baroque works from Germany, France and Italy, by composers Georg Friedrich Händel, Marin Marais, Anna Bon di Venezia and Salamone Rossi


With a repertoire ranging from Early Music, to works composed especially for her, Dr Sally Walker has toured internationally with the Berlin Philharmonic and Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestras, was Principal Flute of the Deutsche Kammerakademie Neuss, a member of Kölner Kammerorchester, and has a long-standing association as Guest Principal Flautist with the Australian Chamber Orchestra. She has performed with Early Music Ensembles: Neues Bachiches Collegium Leipzig, Das Neue Orchester Köln, Salut! Baroque, Australian Romantic & Classical Orchestra, Canberra Bach Ensemble and extensively with harpsichordist Dr Rosalind Halton.
