On Wednesday 22nd April 2026 the Wesley Lunchtime Concert series is excited to host the Italian pianist Ida Pelliccioli, acclaimed for the expressive depth and originality of her interpretations. Ida returns to Australia on a new tour, this time including Canberra. Her program explores the musical landscape from Baroque to early Romanticism, revealing hidden gems alongside celebrated masterpieces. The audience will experience a sonic journey from southern Europe to the heart of Vienna – from Scarlatti to Schubert, with stops along the way for Mozart and the rarely performed yet captivating Blasco de Nebra.
Ida Pelliccioli was born in Bergamo, Italy, studied at the Nice Conservatoire de Région and the École Normale de Musique de Paris - Alfred Cortot, under Serguei Markarov, UNESCO Artist for Peace. She was awarded several prestigious scholarships, a double diploma in interpretation and pedagogy, received artistic guidance from Norma Fisher at the Royal College of…
