Storms, Dreams and Dances On Wednesday 22nd July 2026 the Wesley Lunchtime Concert series is excited to welcome the Italian pianists Duo Mimesi who, as part of their tour of Australia, will perform a program for two hands of music by Schubert, Poulenc and Rachmaninov.

About the event
Both pianists graduated with highest honours from leading Italian conservatories: Bucaioni from the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome and the Licinio Refice Conservatory, and Barbera from the Licinio Refice Conservatory in Frosinone, where she completed her studies with highest honours, distinction, and special mention. Currently pursuing advanced Piano Performance studies at the Accademia di Musica di Pinerolo, Duo Mimesi has performed in Italy, Spain, Slovenia, the United Kingdom and India, including warmly received 2025 concerts in Pune and New Delhi. In 2025, the duo won First Absolute Prize at the Francavilla Fontana – Città degli Imperiali international chamber music competition.
The duo’s growing profile continues with a July 2026 Australia and New Zealand tour, including concerts in Canberra, Sydney, Adelaide and Newcastle.
