Daniel Röhn plays Bach & Paganini – A preview
On Wednesday 15th July 2026 the Wesley Lunchtime Concert series is excited to present internationally acclaimed German violin virtuoso Daniel Röhn performing Bach’s Partita no.1 in B Minor along with Paganini’s Caprices nos. 2, 5, 11 and 24. This concert previews a series of concerts in future months where Röhn will present the complete cycle of J.S. Bach’s solo Sonatas and Partitas (BWV 1001 - 1006) and Paganini’s 24 Caprices op.1.
“X-Factor” headlined a review in Süddeutsche Zeitung, after a solo concert in Munich played by Daniel Röhn, while The Strad (London) stated “he is a sensational player”. As soloist, Daniel has played with the London Philharmonic Orchestra, Sydney Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic, the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, and with conductors such as Riccardo Muti, Gustavo Dudamel, Lorin Maazel and Simone Young. He has appeared at Carnegie Hall New York, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Wigmore Hall and Southbank Center London, Vienna Konzerthaus, and the Philharmonie Berlin.
