About the event
On Wednesday 1st July 2026 the Wesley Lunchtime Concert series is delighted to welcome pianist Mark Jurkiewicz, who returns offering a program of works from the time of Chopin's relationship with George Sand, the most significant love of his life, encompassing the Mazurkas op.33, Impromptu No.1 in A flat, Ballade No.3 in A flat and Scherzo No.2 in B flat minor.
Mark Jurkiewicz graduated with a Master of Art’s degree from the Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw, majoring in piano performance, having studied under Prof. Regina Smendzianka and Prof. Jadwiga Sukiennicka. He also has a Diploma of Music Education from the same institution. Mark has performed as a recitalist, chamber musician and with orchestras in major cities in Poland, the Netherlands, Malaysia and Australia.
