The Wesley Music Centre Lunchtime concert series, the extraordinarily talented young pianist Charles Huang returns to present Beethoven's Piano Sonata No. 23 in F minor, "Appassionata", along with a selection of Preludes and Fugues from Bach's Well-Tempered Clavier.

About the event
Charles Huang was born in Canberra and started piano lessons with his father just as he was turning five. He completed his LMusA diploma at age 11 and has won many first places in the Australian National Eisteddfod and other piano competitions, including first place in the 2023 ACTKA Piano Competition (Advanced Division). Since his debut solo recital at age 8 at the Wesley Music Centre, he has given many concerts at Wesley and other venues. In 2023 he was awarded a Commendation at the Young Canberra Citizen of the Year ceremony for his efforts in bringing music to the community. Outside his musical activities, Charles is a regular participant in chess and pool competitions.
