Wednesday Lunchtime Concert: Austrian Harmonie Choir ‘Harmonie with Pipes and Piano’

On Wednesday 27th May, 2026 from 12.40 to 1.20pm, the Wesley Music Centre Lunchtime Concert series will celebrate the Austrian Harmonie Choir’s contribution to our cultural life as they draw from a blend of 45 years of the Choir’s broad repertoire, accompanied by our own pianist, Linus Lee.

About the event
The Austrian Choir Canberra is an SATB choir that was formed in 1981. This highly respected Choir is a major force in the promotion of Austrian culture and music in Canberra and the wider Australian community. With their extensive repertoire of Austrian, German, English and international songs, the Choir gains immense pleasure from providing its audiences with enjoyment and, at times, some nostalgia.
The Choir has 40 active members and is fortunate to have a number of talented singers and musicians, which enables it to present solos, duets, quartets and instrumental pieces. The Choir changed its name to Austrian Harmonie Choir in January 2024 after it made the Harmonie German Club its home.
The Choir sings regularly at Harmonie German Club functions as well as in nursing homes, retirement villages and churches. It is invited every year to celebrate the Austrian National Day at the Austrian Embassy. Rehearsals are on…
