On Wednesday 1st April 2026 the Wesley Lunchtime Concert series is delighted to welcome Alumni of the ANU School of Music, Alexina Hawkins (viola) and Justin Bullock (double bass), who return to Canberra from Berlin and Brisbane for the revival of a duo collaboration first heard in 2006.

About the event
On Wednesday 1st April 2026 the Wesley Lunchtime Concert series is delighted to welcome Alumni of the ANU School of Music, Alexina Hawkins (viola) and Justin Bullock (double bass), who return to Canberra from Berlin and Brisbane for the revival of a duo collaboration first heard in 2006. The program features music by Rheinhold Glière, Cathy Milliken and J.S. Bach, and showcases a rare and complementary instrumental combination.
Justin Bullock, double bass, began his career in the Canberra Symphony Orchestra as Principal Bass. He also performed at the Canberra International Music Festival, ABC Sunday Live performances and the Australian International Chopin Piano Competition along artists such as Pekka Kuusisto, Lara St John, the Danish String Quartet and Goldner String Quartet. Justin began performing in Brisbane with Camerata, Queensland's Chamber Orchestra, before successfully auditioning for the Queensland Symphony Orchestra at 23 years young! Justin is now a regular guest Principal Bass…
