About the event
Aeolus Wind Trio was formed in 1983 and, over those 40 years, has been one of Canberra’s busiest chamber music ensembles, performing widely at weddings, parties, conventions, balls, graduations, fashion parades, dinners and festivals—as well as recitals and concerts. Aeolus has prepared recitals for ArtSong Canberra, the Canberra Chamber Music Festival, Pro Musica, the Canberra New Music Society, the National Gallery of Australia and the Arts Council. Aeolus presented seasons at the Hyatt Hotel Canberra Tea Rooms, the School of Arts Café in Queanbeyan and Dorette’s Bistro, and supported Cleo Laine and Stephane Grapelli. They opened the Street Theatre. Aeolus has been heard on Artsound FM (including their COVID recordings), ABC 666 and ABC FM, and live broadcasts from Floriade. Aeolus performed for their 35th anniversary at Wesley Music Centre in 2018 and in Hits of 1875 in 2024 and Dance through the Ages last year.
