About the event
The Canberra Men’s Choir, established in 1986, is a non-auditioned choir that welcomes all men who enjoy singing, regardless of their musical experience and ability. We are proud that many of our members’ first experience with singing was when they joined the Choir. We perform a diverse repertoire in venues around Canberra. We are a group of 50 men who meet on Monday evenings to rehearse and perform regularly in Canberra and surrounds.
The choir’s Musical Director is Leanne McKean and Assistant Musical Director is Martin Magill. Leanne is an experienced conductor who has worked with a variety of community, school and chamber choirs in Canberra and in the United Kingdom. She has been leading the CMC since 2015 and is a champion of accessible community singing. Martin is a versatile musician who performs, teaches and supports community ensembles across Canberra. He enjoys helping people grow their skills and confidence…
