Come to a concert of 16th century madrigals and music for the birds (Morley, Gibbons, Byrd (of course), Weelkes...)! Indulge in avian allegories of love in the English countryside!! Relish the wit inspired by our wingèd companions, and lift your wings in airy melodies!!! For this show, Robyn Mellor directs Polifemy’s lady-birds and a select crew of crested gentlemen. Enhanced by the BlockSounds recorder ensemble, a veritable dawn chorus awaits in the afternoon...
