About the event

The winner of the 2nd Australian International Chopin Piano Competition, Kotaro Nagano is not only accomplished in playing the harpsichord but also makes his very own instruments. Fascinated by Wesley’s collection of historical instruments, Kotaro will give a concert where he will revive the music of the time by playing instruments of different eras. The Clavicytherium is a particularly rare instrument, and Kotaro is excited to perform with it. The audience will be treated to a rare opportunity to hear this unique instrument in person. The program includes J.S. Bach - Italian Concerto, J.P. Sweelinck - Pavana Lachrimae, F. Bianciardi - Fantasias and some dance music by P. Attaingnant.
