Jimmy Park & Alexander Yau in Recital: Masterworks by Stravinsky, Schubert and Beethoven

Violinist Jimmy Park and pianist Alexander Yau present a compelling recital that showcases masterpieces embody the notion of a duo.

Jimmy is currently undertaking post-master’s studies at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg, returns home for this special performance, joining Alexander, a Juilliard School graduate and currently Associate Lecturer at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.

Opening with the neoclassical clarity of Stravinsky’s Divertimento, the program moves into the highly energetic and fateful yet fiercely lyrical world of Schubert’s Rondo in B minor, before culminating in Beethoven’s monumental Sonata No. 9 in A major, the legendary “Kreutzer.”
