About the event

Get ready for a fresh and fun musical experience with Clarification.

This dynamic clarinet choir brings together eight of Canberra’s most established clarinetists, who regularly perform with local orchestras and concert bands, many of whom have also played with ensembles interstate before calling Canberra home.

Recently, Clarification placed third in the ensemble category at the Australian Band Championships - a clear testament to their musical excellence. Now just a year old, the ensemble has quickly developed a reputation for bold programming, presenting a repertoire that spans classical favourites, pop tunes, and nostalgic TV and movie themes - always delivered with flair and passion, often with quirky, imaginative twists.

This concert features works by Holst and Mozart arranged for clarinet choir, alongside contemporary Japanese compositions written specifically for the ensemble format.

It’s classical, it’s contemporary, it’s Clarification - and it’s like nothing you’ve heard before.
