As a non-profit organisation, The Wesley Music Foundation relies on the generous donations of our supporters to continue our work. We gratefully accept one-off and regular donations from individuals, organisations, and businesses who share our commitment to developing the musical talent of young people and developing organisations in the Canberra region. Your donation will enable us to continue to provide scholarships for young musicians, support for local organisations and help to ensure a vibrant and exciting music scene in our city.

Wesley Music Foundation (General Fund)

Your donations help fund the Wesley Music Scholars and ACT Organ School Scholarship programs, and allow the Wesley Music Foundation to support community organisations.

Geoff Millar Commission Fund

This fund was created in honour of Geoff Millar, who had a great love for choirs and their music. This fund will support the commissioning of a new choral work by an Australian composer. Through this commission, we hope to continue his legacy and bring new and exciting choral works to our community.

Margaret Mansfield Fund

This Fund has been established in honour of the memory of Margaret Mansfield who died on Saturday, 12th October 2019.  Margaret was a tireless supporter of the Wesley Music Foundation and the Wesley Music Centre.  Her quiet but strong presence ensured that Music Scholars received help and encouragement, events ran like clockwork, staff and volunteers had someone who would listen and act, and volunteers knew that they were part of a team and that their work was valued.

The Margaret Mansfield Fund may be used to support a Wesley Music Scholar, to sponsor a special music event, or to boost a music or Music Centre project. Those donating to the fund have the opportunity to identify any special focus that they wish to support.

Paul Mansfield Fund

The Paul Mansfield Fund has been established to honour the memory of Paul Mansfield who died on 18 July 2022. Paul Mansfield worked for some time in the Wesley Music Centre Office, setting up and maintaining an Archive of Music Centre events - a role he continued for a number of years.  In 2011 and 2012 he worked to generate a large data base detailing music events for the first 10 years of the Wesley Music Centre from 2002 to 2012. The data was used for the book edited by Garth Mansfield and published in 2012. He also played an invaluable role in suggesting suitable formats for the various chapters and other editorial suggestions and amendments to the text.

Music organisations and events don’t happen, and don’t survive, without experienced and skilled administrators.  The Paul Mansfield Fund will be used to support a new position of Assistant Director of the Music Centre and to support music administration and development more generally.

Dave Kinsella Harpsichord Collection (DKHC)

Sydney based organist/harpsichordist David Kinsela has given his entire keyboard collection to the Wesley Music Foundation.

By donating to the Harpsichord Donation Fund, you are helping to ensure the preservation of these extraordinary instruments and supporting the ongoing mission of the Wesley Music Foundation. Your contribution will help us to provide educational opportunities, host concerts, and share the beauty of harpsichord music with the community. Thank you for your support!
